Prologue:

You trudge through the wind and rain, your suit pulled tight around you as you make your way on foot to the towering building that houses Paralighten Co, a very big company. You were searching for a job, and this place seemed like the perfect company to work at, even though people had told you some strange rumors about that place. Some stuff about the company taking you to another dimension, and that the CEO wasn't himself anymore... but that's just a bunch of myths.

As you draw closer, you can't help but notice that the building looks a tiny bit abandoned and its walls stained by years of rain and neglect. But as you step inside, you're surprised to find the interior immaculately cleaned, well-maintained, and lit up, despite the eerie silence in the air.

According to your mail, the boss's office should be in Section 1000, but no one was in the reception, or even visible at that. Maybe he got the wrong address or it was a holiday for them. Looking back at your mail, you seem to be correct. Front entrance of Pralighten Co.

Since there was nothing to do, you did the only rational thing you could do. You turn around and start walking to the door you just entered. After pulling the door, it becomes clear that it locked you in there. Now that you have no other way out, you'll try and get through this place, hopefully, unharmed with what might be lurking in it...

About:

The Workplace is a roguelike game where you traverse through a supermassive company named "Paralighten Co". You must reach Section 1000 (Only 200 currently available) and meet Jack. Still, things don't go the way they were supposed to go...

The Employees are made in a way to be cute, but scary, and if you're into that, I recommend playing this game!

("Paralighten Co" is fictitious. Any resemblances to any real-life companies are purely coincidental.)
